Filament 3D printing

Do you need a large part or prototype made quickly? Filament 3D printing is the perfect solution to meet these needs. Thanks to Omega Microfusioni's experience and attention to detail, we produce durable and precise plastic products or samples in just 24/48 hours.

The advantages of filament 3D printing

Speed

we make quick prints, from single pieces to small productions, within 24/48 hours to guarantee on-time results.

Dimensions

With 3D printing, we can create large parts, up to 256x256x256 mm, perfect for functional prototypes or customised structures.

Resistance

To obtain complex and robust objects, we process and store filaments in temperature-controlled environments

Why choose filament printing?

Filament 3D printing offers the perfect balance between quality, fast turnaround times and low costs. This technology is one of the newest we have introduced, but also one of the most widely used due to its versatility. At Omega Microfusioni, we pay special attention to the printing environment and material storage: each filament is stored separately and processed under optimal conditions to ensure precision and strength.

Price

The prices of a 3D printed object depend on many variables:

  • dimensions

  • complexity

  • material

  • number of parts to be printed

  • time required for printing

For each project we provide a customised quote that takes all parameters into consideration

Printing times

The turnaround time for 3D printing is very fast:

  • single object: print in 24 hours

  • small productions: print in 24/48 hours.

How we turn your idea into reality with filament 3D printing

At Omega Microfusioni, every step of the process is designed to put your needs at the centre. Whether it is a prototype or a small production run, our aim is to guarantee quality, precision and speed. Thanks to our experience and the use of state-of-the-art technology, we transform your project into a finished product that faithfully reflects your expectations.

Specific materials for every need

Depending on the complexity and end use of the object, we at Omega Microfusioni advise the customer on the most suitable material for printing, choosing from different types of plastics.

PLA

recyclable bioplastic derived from natural materials and plants, such as maize, sugar cane and beet. It is a very versatile and inexpensive material that is used for objects of all shapes and sizes and quick production.

ASA

ASA is ideal for outdoor use because it is more resistant to UV and weathering: it retains its colour and structural integrity. It also has a high mechanical and impact resistance, perfect for robust objects subjected to stress.

PC

PC, or polycarbonate, is rigid, strong and light. With PC filament 3D printing, transparent, glass-like objects can be obtained. Polycarbonate withstands scratches, shocks and heat. It is particularly suitable for the production of structural and mechanical parts.

PA

PA, commonly called nylon, is a highly resistant, light and flexible material, ideal for the production of mechanical components and functional prototypes. Due to its durability and precision, it finds wide application in the automotive, fashion and design sectors.

PPS

PPS is a filament 3D printing material that is highly resistant to heat, chemicals and mechanical stress, ideal for industrial applications. It is suitable for components exposed to high temperatures and corrosive environments.

PTEG

PTEG (PET-G) is a durable, easy-to-print and transparent type of plastic, modified with glycol to improve its flexibility. It is widely used in 3D printing and applications requiring chemical resistance and food safety.

ABS

ABS is versatile but tends to deform more easily. Resistant to impact, chemicals and heat, it gives objects a brighter colour. Used in filament 3D printing, it provides smooth, glossy surfaces.

TPU

TPU is a very flexible material, perfect for elastic components. With this material, we can make 3D filament objects that are resistant to shocks, abrasions and cuts. It has applications in many sectors, from footwear to automotive and medical.

PET

PET is a versatile, durable material that is also suitable for food applications. Ideal for prototypes and components in the automotive, fashion and design industries, it guarantees smooth surfaces, precise details and high print quality.

Sustainability for Omega Microfusioni

With a keen eye on the environment, we recover leftovers and production waste to test, prototype and study the performance of recycled plastics. This approach allows us to minimise waste and contribute to a more sustainable production process.
